Some questions you need to ask yourself before renting a room or apartment in Bogota Colombia. - Can I cook in the apartment?
- Of course, everything is there that you will need including a blender
- Is everything supplied in terms of cooking utensils etc.?
- Yes you will have everything you need.
- Do I need to bring my own towels?
- No, all your towels and linens will be supplied
- Is there security and is it 24/7?
- Yes there is security around the clock
- Is there a fridge I can use?
- Yes, you can keep all the things you want cold there
- Are there individual locks on all doors in the apartment?
- Yes, there are double and secure locks on all doors in the apartment.
- Is it close to the airport (lots of noise there!)?
- We are not far from the airport but are close enough to hear the noise either.
- If you are not on the main floor, is there an elevator?
- Yes, there is a high speed elevator that will take you to your apartment.
- Is there a television in each room?
- Yes, each room has it's own television.
- Is there WIFI so you can use your laptop in your own room?
- Yes each room has access to WiFi.
- Is the internet high speed (you may need this for Skype etc.)?
- Yes the internet connection is high speed and using Skype is no problem.
- Is the area quiet at night (similar to airport location)?
- The area is in an upscale neighborhood and it is quiet.
- Is the room in a guest house?
- This is not a guest house. The owner does not live on the property.
- Is there a convention room I can reserve for free?
- Yes, there is convention room you can reserve for parties and so on.

Do You Have Maid Service? Sorry we do not have maid service for the apartment. We can have our maid come over from time to time if it is necessary. There is a place in the kitchen to wash your clothes and a place to dry them. There is also a place nearby where you can have your clothes washed, dried and folded for you. There are restaurants close by where you can have a meal while you wait for your clothes or you can take a 5 minute walk to the largest mall in South America for the laundry mat. The American Embassy is right behind the laundry mat. Do You Have an Air Conditioner? Bogota Colombia is never really hot. We do not have air conditioning and I do not know of any place in Bogota that does. Windows can be opened in the apartment which give you a nice breeze if you need it.Is There Enough Hot Water for Everyone? There is an electric/gas hot water device in the kitchen that gives you all the hot water you stand. Water circulates through this device and is warmed so you can use it. Please try and not use too much water as it is very expensive in Bogota and we should all try and conserve it. Thanks. Are There Locks on the Doors and How Safe are they? Again, the main door to the apartment has two very secure locks. In addition, each door in the apartment has it own secure lock. Also, there is 24/7 hour security in the apartment building. The security staff there are very professional and take their jobs seriously. How can I get a Cell phone in Colombia? Sometimes you can buy a cell phone in Bogota Colombia and then buy minutes. Not all places will do this. Its kind of hit and miss. You can leave a deposit of $50 with us and we will lend you a cell phone for the length of your visit. How far is the Apartment from Zona Rosa or Parke 93 (Parque 93)? I measure the distance in the amount of time it takes to get to these places. It takes approximately 30 to 40 minutes to get to Zona Rosa by taxi. The same goes for Parke 93, however, Parque 93 may take a little less time as it is a bit closer. What happens if I am early for check in or late to check to out? We recognize that not everything will go right with our guests. We try as hard as possible to accommodate everyone. If a room is vacant in the apartment we can store your luggage there until you need it. We have rules but we also try to be reasonable with our guests. |
